1. Log into your cPanel account.
- Click the “Softaculous App Installer” icon in the “Software” section.
- Click the “Softaculous App Installer” icon in the “Software” section.
- Locate the “Portal/CMS” category on the left side of your screen. Click on it, then on the “PyroCMS” link that appears.
- Press the “Install” button.
- Fill in the following information in the “Software Setup” field:
Select a Protocol: This can be left alone.
Select a Domain: Leave this alone if you don’t have multiple domains.
In Directory: Enter the directory name if you want to install this in a directory, such as example.com/directory. Otherwise, leave this field empty to install in your primary domain, example.com. - In the “Site Settings” field, enter:
Enter the name of your website, such as “PyroCMS,” as the application name.
Application Reference: This can be left alone.
- Fill in the following information in the “Admin Account” field:
Your new PyroCMS administrator username (for security reason do not use the “Administrator” or the “Admin” username.)
Use a strong password for the administrator account.
Admin Email: This is your email address.
Note: Make a note of the admin username and password because you will need them to access the admin area of your PyroCMS website.
- Advanced Options: Leave this alone unless you want to change the name of the database or perform an automated backup. Please keep in mind that frequent backups can consume a lot of disk space.
Finally, scroll down to the end of page and click on the Install Button.
